Just to balance out the previous post in which I declare an abject lack of stamina for science books, here are some books I have finished recently and can thoroughly recommend: Scarlett Thomas “PopCo” and “The End of Mr. Y”: I read PopCo a few months before going to Totnes (where much of the story is set) and [...] It’s getting quite ridiculous - there is a growing pile of half read popular science books both at home and in my office. I think I may have to stop buying them, but I’m interested in the topics even once I give up reading them. I’d like to note that I don’t give up on books very often [...] I picked up this book at ScienceOnline ’09 in North Carolina back in January. I read some of it there, some on the plane and have plugged through the remainder over the last few months.
